Topic : Ending World Hunger Through Development of Genetically Modified Organism (GMO).
Food scarcity is one of the world’s big homework. The global warming and change of land function has worsened the condition from the ideal. In this invention era, we are keen to develop a genetically modified organism (GMO). GMO is any organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. Using GMO is believed could contribute to food production by increasing the quality and higher food availability. Yet, the safe and effective application of GMO to solve the problems of hunger in the third-world, will require reasonable engagement and coordination from FAO member states. It is expected that in AWMUN IV, the FAO could provide great ideas to boost the discussion over the development of GMO.
